Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language draft for version 1. It is not a lawyer's document. Please have it reviewed before the public launch.

What we store if you just play

You can play without an account. Your streak, the days you've finished, and the relaxed-mode setting stay in this browser (localStorage). A short-lived session id is used so the server can remember which items you already found in the current puzzle. Taps are checked on the server. The answer key is not sent to your browser.

If you save your streak with email

We store the email address you type, the birth year you select, whether you opted in to occasional news, and the time you agreed. We also store an unsubscribe token so the daily email can include a working unsubscribe link. We ask for a birth year so we can refuse sign-ups from anyone under 13. We do not ask for a name or a password.

Under the email field the form says: "We'll email you daily puzzles. Unsubscribe anytime." The Privacy Policy and Terms are linked there.

Sign-in links

If you ask to open your streak on another device, we email a one-time link. It expires after 30 minutes. The link lets that browser save the streak we have stored for your email.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal information. Version 1 has no ads and no payments. We don't use a tracking cookie.

Where it lives

The site is built to run on Cloudflare (Workers, D1, and R2). While you're trying it on your own computer, the data stays on that computer.

Unsubscribe

Every signup email and every daily puzzle email includes an unsubscribe link. Opening it shows a page with one Unsubscribe button. Mail stops when you tap that button, not when the page opens. You can still play.
